Housed in a Grade II listed Victorian building that was once home to the small herbalist’s shop that became pharmaceutical giant Boots, the Larder on Goosegate restaurant now sits above the vibrant city quarter of Hockley in Nottingham.
A stone's throw from Broadway arts cinema and various boutiques and cafes, the Larder's airy dining room with its floor-to-ceiling windows is both elegant and informal.
Our food is best described as a blend of traditional and modern British cookery, with the finest seasonal ingredients. We believe in using the best of what our region offers, and the kind of independent producers who have a passion for their specialism, wherever possible. This is not only supportive of the local economy and the environment, it makes for very good food. We only go searching further afield when we think it necessary: Colchester oysters and Arbroath Smokies, for example, justify the journey. You’ll find a full list of our suppliers on this site and we hope the proof of the ethos is in the eating.
We're very excited to announce that The Larder On Goosegate will be featured in the 2011 Good Food Guide
